Dental Associates was founded by Dr. Sumner Hirshberg in 1946, has been offering quality dental services for over 50 years. Our facility is the oldest group practice in the state. The vision set forth by our founder and carried forward today is to provide our patients with quality, state of the art dental services. In fulfilling this vision, we at Dental Associates have attracted quality providers for many of your routine and specialty dental needs. On hand, we have Restorative dentists, General dentists, a Periodontal specialist, and a Prosthodontic specialist in order to better serve you at one facility. Dr. Lewis Hootnick
As our current President of Dental Associates, Dr. Lewis Hootnick joined the organization in 1981. Dr. Hootnick received his DMD from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 1979, and thereafter completed a residency at Park City Hospital in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Dr. Hootnick has been practicing Restorative Dentistry for the past 25 years, offering his patients the most state of the art techniques and services available. He is widely respected in both the South and North Shores for his quality treatment.

Dr. Richard Woolfe
Serving as Senior Partner at Dental Associates, Dr. Richard Woolfe is also the Prosthodontic specialist. His primary focus in treatments are full mouth reconstruction, porcelain bridges, veneers, implant restorations, difficult denture cases, and other challenging esthetic dentistry procedures. Dr. Woolfe graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine with his DMD in 1965. Immediately following graduation he completed a one year internship at the Western Massachusetts Hospital. Following this internship, he entered the United States Army where he served as a Captain and Dental Clinic Director during the Vietnam War. Upon discharge, Dr. Woolfe began to practice with Dr. Sumner Hirshberg, the founder of Dental Associates. He has been with Dental Associates for over 40 years. From the years 1973-1976, Dr. Woolfe completed a Prosthetic specialty training program at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.

During the 1980's, Dr. Woolfe completed an Implantology Training program at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine where he was also a Clinical Instructor in Prosthetics. In addition to his formal training, Dr. Woolfe has taken many continuing education courses. His personal interests include golfing, sailing, tennis, photography, fine furniture construction, and toy making.

Dr. David Keller
Dr. Keller received his DMD cum laude, from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 1972. After Tufts, he completed specialty training in Periodontics at the Boston University Goldman School of Dentistry in 1975. From the years 1972-1975, Dr. Keller completed an Internship at the Brockton VA Hospital. From the years 1975-1979, he was a Clinical Instructor at the Boston University Dental School. Dr. Keller is an active member in the Massachusetts Dental Society, the South Shore District Dental Society, the American Academy of Periodontology, as well as the Massachusetts Periodontal Society. Dr. Keller was formerly on staff at the Quincy Medical Center, Beth Israel Hospital, as well as Somerville Hospital.

Dr. Stephen Goldstein
Dr. Goldstein joined us in the summer of 2009. Full bio to follow shortly.
