Serving as Senior Partner at Dental Associates, Dr.
Richard Woolfe is also the Prosthodontic specialist. His primary focus
in treatments are full mouth reconstruction, porcelain bridges, veneers,
implant restorations, difficult denture cases, and other challenging
esthetic dentistry procedures. Dr. Woolfe graduated from Tufts
University School of Dental Medicine with his DMD in 1965. Immediately
following graduation he completed a one year internship at the Western
Massachusetts Hospital. Following this internship, he entered the
United States Army where he served as a Captain and Dental Clinic
Director during the Vietnam War. Upon discharge, Dr. Woolfe began to
practice with Dr. Sumner Hirshberg, the founder of Dental Associates.
He has been with Dental Associates for over 40 years. From the years
1973-1976, Dr. Woolfe completed a Prosthetic specialty training program
at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.
During the 1980's, Dr. Woolfe completed an Implantology Training program at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine where he was also a Clinical Instructor in Prosthetics. In addition to his formal training, Dr. Woolfe has taken many continuing education courses. His personal interests include golfing, sailing, tennis, photography, fine furniture construction, and toy making.
After more than 40 years with Dental Associates, Dr. Woolfe retired from clinical dentistry in November of 2010. His honesty, skill, and wit will be fondly remembered by his patients and colleagues at Dental Associates for years to come.
